Ubisoft snatches up Brazilian studio Southlogic

Paris, France-based Ubisoft has acquired Brazilian independent developer Southlogic Studios, the companies announced Tuesday.
Southlogic’s staff of around 20 developers, now under the Ubisoft umbrella, has created games for PC, handheld and consoles. The studio has also provided art outsourcing and porting services.
Southlogic, founded in 1996 in Porto Alegre, recently developed the casual game Imagine: Wedding Designer for Nintendo DS, which was published by Ubisoft.
