This presentation will be part postmortem and part design critique. Alex will step through the objectives and goals of the social features of Spore
, both from the in-game functionality and the “meta” game perspectives. Further, specific design challenges will be explored, along with Alex’s thoughts on what succeeded and failed. Humourous anectdotes of working with design legend Will Wright, may be broached…
