gameloftGameloft, a French company that makes video games for mobile phones, cut its 2008 financial targets on Thursday but said it was hoping for a rebound in 2009.

Gameloft said it is targeting 2008 sales growth of more than 15 percent, down from a previous target for sales growth between 25 and 30 percent.

It also cut its 2008 operating margin target. Gameloft is targeting a 2008 operating margin of more than 3 percent — down from a previous target for a margin of between 10 to 15 percent.
In November, rival Ubisoft confirmed its 2008-2009 financial targets while posting a 7 percent rise in first-half net profit.
