EA Sports predicts Boston Bruins to win Stanley Cup
From network.nationalpost.com:
Go Habs!
For the first time in 37 years, the Stanley Cup could be heading to Boston.
According to computer simulation conducted by EA Sports, the Eastern Conference champion Bruins will defeat the Chicago Blackhawks 4-2 in the final of the 2009 NHL playoffs. If it happens, it would be Boston’s first championship since 1972 and sixth in franchise history.
EA Sports also predicts that Marc Savard, who led the Bruins with 88 points in the regular season, will top all scorers in the playoffs with 27 points. And that teammate Phil Kessel will be named the Conn Smythe Trophy winner after scoring 14 goals.
…
EA Sports, which used real-life data from each team to conduct its simulation, took into account such factors as players’ ratings, line combinations, injuries, and current hot streaks to determine how a team would perform.
