Army of Two: The 40th Day DLC Impressions

Apparently, irony escapes EA Montreal, as April Fools’ Day last week saw the release of new DLC for Army of Two: The 40th Day. "Chapters of Deceit" is the equivalent of a deleted scene (or 10) for Army of Two: TFD, ostensibly aimed at filling in some of the gaping story holes in the game proper. Set in the murky area between the hospital level and the final chapter, this isn’t DLC for players who haven’t finished the game yet.
Deceit feels like by the numbers campaign DLC. Buildings are destroyed, hostages are taken, and step-jumps are required. Aside from some very basic mentions of the game’s story (a problem omnipresent in the main game as well), these levels could have been located anywhere in the game’s narrative with little issue. […]
