Interview: Gameloft Capitalizes on iPhone’s Success

Just six months after Apple launched the App Store alongside the new iPhone 3G, the gaming platform is already providing Gameloft, the largest mobile game publisher, more sales than carrier networks five times as large. But other carriers and headset makers have been releasing new touch-screen smartphones that are now competing directly with Apple’s 13 million iPhone installed base. Gonzague de Vallois, senior vice president of publishing at Gameloft, sat down to discuss the state of mobile gaming today and how Apple has “shaken up the whole ecosystem” in this exclusive interview.
